Andy is a Glenfiddich award nominated freelance food writer and has written about restaurants, chefs, food, wine and travel for numerous publications including the Independent on Sunday, Daily Express, The Times, olive magazine, the Metro and Restaurant magazine.

Andy is something of an internet foodie pioneer, and set up his own restaurant review site The Food Store in the late 90's before becoming a founding affiliate of influential food forum egullet.org in 2001.
