This Georgian townhouse was Brighton’s original boutique hotel. Today it is a well-loved favourite often considered a home-away-from-home. Stylish décor, great service and a good location have made it a steadfast hit over the years.
Situated in Kemp Town, it has 12 individually styled rooms (we like the Perrier Jouët and the Galaxy), that come with sweet perks like home-made biscuits, bottled water and big sumptuous beds. The bathrooms in the larger rooms are immaculate (and worth the upgrade alone).
Service is friendly, need something? Just ask as if the team has a reputation for going the extra mile. The fresh flowers in the room were a lovely touch, as were the aromatherapy toiletries. For me it is the little things that make the biggest difference.
Don’t be tempted to oversleep because breakfast is worth getting out of bed for. The chef serves an incredible (award-winning) breakfast. Once fed, wander out and explore the iconic beachfront and pier, amble around the Lanes and when you’ve had enough head back to the bar. The cocktail menu is extensive and the bar is a popular haunt.
We loved it, we think you will too.
