This is a bar you’ll remember for all the right reasons. Sherry Butt is a much loved favourite that takes cocktails seriously, but not too seriously that they cross over into the pretentious. It’s the bar that bartenders patronise in their free time.
Located between Bastille and Le Marais, this charming little space provides the perfect backdrop for that intimate occasion, being elegant (but not pretentious), with velvet sofas and dimly lit interiors. A word to the wise: it can get a little crowded at le weekend when DJ’s take to the decks.
The cocktail menu is small but oh-so-impressive, with around 12 to choose from on any given evening. All are minor works of art, blending tequilas, vodkas, gins with a wide selection of home-made syrups. Whiskey aficionados will also feel right at home as Sherry Butt is well-known for its extensive selection of single malts and blends of gentle distillations.
And if the cocktails go to your head, the bar food is a cut above: creative little European-inspired dishes that are perfect to share and which act as an amuse bouche - a stomach liner to prepare yourself for the night ahead – or as a way to soak up some of the sauce before you head to your next rendezvous. We love this place.
