Sister to 22 Ships across the road, Ham and Sherry is a great little spot for properly delicious tapas and some seriously good sherry. Boasting Asia’s largest sherry list (with over 50 varieties and styles), they are designed to be paired with some of the best Spanish tapas I've had the privilege to eat.
The signature scallop ceviche with lemon was light, fresh and very moreish (I had seconds). The octopus was delicious and full of flavour, the selection of aged Spanish hams were just beautiful. But it is the Churros with chocolate sauce that I would gladly pay a return flight to Hong Kong for. They were, and are, the lightest, most delicious sugary bites that have ever passed my lips. The kind of desert that is worth getting fat for. For me this is Spanish rustic food at its best, but you need to remember they are tapas, so if you are feeling more than a little peckish, you'll need to order a generous selection.
The interior is also slick and super stylish, with stunning blue and white tiles that make for an authentic (if not somewhat upmarket) bodega. The open kitchen in the centre offers counter seating letting you see the chefs at work, and for those looking for something a little more intimate, there are a variety of tables that make a perfect meeting point for friends and dates.
PS: If you are there late, once you've finish eating head to the Back Bar to round up your night. You won’t be disappointed.
