Located in Pigalle, Baton Rouge is a charming Louisiana-themed cocktail bar serving up hearty Southern snacks. Inspiration for the drinks menu comes from the 1937 book by Stanley Arthur, Famous New Orleans Drinks and How to Mix 'Em. Expect to find Louisiana classics, we particularly loved the NOLA Fizz and the pomegranate julep, and if you are so inclined there is also seriously good selection of whiskies.
The decor is a little out there with voodoo-inspired paraphernalia adorning the walls but it adds to the quirkiness of the place. Who doesn't love a head on a stick? The music provided the back drop to a great atmosphere, drink cocktails, throw peanut shells on the floor and soak up the atmosphere. If you find yourself in Pigelle, we'd recommend it for a pit-stop. Just don’t expect to leave.
