This stylish and modern European restaurant came by way of a recommendation from the concierge at The Dylan hotel not long after it first opened. It wasn't long before it was tipped as the place to go and over the years it has stood the test of time. Amble over to the edge of the Red Light District (but don't let that put you off) and you will find Anna. The restaurant offers a long and trendy space, long tables with sleek white table cloths and beautiful wood floors make for a stylish interior. Especially good for a date but equally good for groups of friends, the (rather safe) menu has something for everyone (to include enough tantalizing dishes to have my vegetarian guest loving the food as much as I did). I went with the safe and ordered the Côte de Boeuf and a crème brûlée - both were cooked beautifully. Having returned on more than one occasion I have discovered that this is what Anna does best. Simple dishes, consistently cooked well. The menu is a little on the expensive side for Amsterdam but for good food and service delivered by friendly waiting staff, we think it was worth it.
