Stepping off New Bond Street into the quiet mews of Lancashire Court you already feel removed from the hustle and bustle of London.
The facial started with a professional and friendly examination of my skin which led to the conclusion that London living has definitely been taking its toll. It was a horrid welcome to the end of my 20s, my skin was dehydrated and beginning to show the signs of getting older - arrrghh! But salvation was on hand as the therapist reassured me that by the end of the treatment I would see a visible difference.
Having changed and got myself on the heated bed I lie back ready for my Visible Brilliance anti-ageing facial, a signature Elemis treatment. It started out with rose petal cleanser, my eyes were then treated to a silk collagen eye compress, which reduces fine lines and wrinkles. This was followed by a fantastic facial massage with products specifically designed for my skin type, which detoxifies and tones the face. Then came my favourite part - a papaya enzyme peel to exfoliate the face, not only does it exfoliate and nibble away at dead skins cells but it smells good enough to eat. The peel was followed by an amino active mask and finished with a light pro-collagen marine moisturiser, which also combats the sign of ageing.
There are clinical studies showing this facial improves the skins elasticity by up to 28% and increases the moisturisation levels by 38% within one treatment. I came with high expectations and was not disappointed, my skin had visibly improved and the surroundings in which the facial takes place are idyllic. Reportedly loved by Sophie Dahl and Lizzie Jagger.
We've been fans of Elemis since we launched and we don't see it changing anytime soon!
PS: It isn't just facials they do either, the massages are nothing short of amazing.
